Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers or goods to their destinations in a timely manner - Operate various types of vehicles, delivery vans, paratransit vehicles, school buses, or shuttle buses - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving - Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle as needed - Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks - Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions they may have - Follow designated routes or navigation instructions to ensure efficient transportation
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record MUST NOT HAVE POINTS ON LICENSE WITHIN LAST 5 YEARS - non-negotiable!! - can verify with MVR - Previous experience as a driver, such as delivery driver, paratransit driver, school bus driver, van driver, or shuttle driver is preferred - Ability to lift heavy objects and assist passengers with mobility needs if required - Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and provide clear instructions or information - Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations - Ability to drive for extended periods of time without compromising safety Note:
